Girl Born With Eight Limbs

A woman named Poonam Tatma gave an incredible birth to an astonishing girl who has four arms and four legs (8 limbs) and two torsos fused at the hips in bihar region of northeast India, in October 2005. A new born baby was named as Lakshmi as her picture similar to the multi-limbed Hindu goddess named Lakshmi, who is worshiped as a deity of wealth and good fortune.

Orthopaedic surgeon Dr Sharan Patil, owner of the Sparsh Hospital in Bangalore, travelled to Lakshmi's remote village in 2007 to meet the child and offer her parents the chance of a lifetime to operate on her for free. That was a Lakshmi’s parents a great relief. Dr Bhairoon Singh Bhati stated that "The biggest difficulty caring for Lakshmi is that she's a unique case, there's never been a child like her before so we have nothing to refer back to".

After an incredible 27-hour operation, with the contribution of more than 30 surgeons Lakshmi could reborn again by leading to a normal life. After leading to typical life Lakshmi has started school Under Dr Bhati's guidance.

 

Her father Shambu, said, “I believe with all my heart that Lakshmi is indeed a goddess. The operation removed her extra legs so that she can lead a normal life but she is not a normal child”.

Her mother Poonam said that “When I think of the way she was, never in a million years would Lakshmi have been able to go to school or have the life she does today”.

Miracle Mia: Baby born with cyst the size of a melon on her face

Gorgeous Mia Molyneux who was a cute baby and a miracle baby as well, because she was born with a huge cyst the size of a melon on the side of her face and survives life-saving surgery. It was bigger than her head, and weighed half as much as she did.

Michaela, 20 years old who was a mother of Mia found out that she was pregnant and she was so eager to find out the sex of her baby through scan tests. However, the first-time mum was told her baby had a huge swelling on the side of her face and it was expected she’d be born with severe disabilities. As a result Michaela was advised to terminate the pregnancy but she rejected it and wanting to give her unborn baby a chance.

So Michaela was booked in for a C-section at Liverpool Women's Hospital, and 18 doctors and nurses were in the room when Mia was born. She was hurried to intensive care after her lung collapsed minutes after birth.

Though, little Mia was only six days old when doctors determined to operate and warned Michaela that the surgery was risky, saying if she started bleeding she might not live. She incredibly survived after the nine hours of exhausting surgery to remove cyst on Mia’s face. During the surgery she was pumped full of 96 pints of blood to remain her tiny body alive. After the operation Mia was kept back in intensive care until she was permitted to go home at 20 weeks old.

Michaela said that “I was absolutely terrified when I found out Mia had something wrong with her. But when she was born I fell in love with her instantly. When I looked at her I saw my baby girl alive, not the growth.”

Further she said “It was absolutely heartbreaking to see her and not being able to hold her until she was 15 days old. Mia will be scarred for life but it’s a small price to pay. When her bandages came off after the surgery I used to still wrap her up in them when we went outside because I was worried what people would think. Now I don't, she's been through so much and I'm so proud of her.

The Longest Interval between birth of Twins - 87 Days Apart

Irish twins Amy and Katie have been called as "Miracles" because they are set for the Guinness Book of Records after they were incredibly born 87 days apart. The twin girls are now to set the Guinness World Record for the "longest interval between the birth of twins".

Maria Jones-Elliott, 34, gave birth to her twin daughter Amy three months early, June 1, 2012 who weighed just 1lb 3oz but her next twin daughter Katie who weighed 5lb 10oz was not born until August 27, 2012 almost three months later. (Another 87 days)

Doctors have told Ms Jones-Elliot and her husband, Chris, they have achieved the medical equivalent of winning the lottery after both girls survived.

Maria, who has two other children, told how she was ragged between joy and worry after Amy’s dangerously early arrival as Katie stayed in her womb, clinging to survival.

“I call the girls our little miracles,” she said. “As I held Amy for the first time I stroked my bump and prayed to God. I just wanted my girls to be together and safe and well. “Usually you experience nothing but joy at the birth of a new baby, but it was so achingly bitter-sweet as both of their lives hung in the balance.

Further she said “Amy was fighting for life in an incubator and Katie was struggling to survive in my womb. It was the hardest three months of our lives. But Chris kept saying, ‘Where there’s life there’s hope.”

The previous Guinness world record for longest interval between birth of twins was set by Peggy Lynn of Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, Lynn gave birth to her twin girl and boy, Hanna and Eric, 84 days apart between the years of 1995 and 1996.

A Baby Girl (Audrina Cardenas) Born with her Heart outside

Audrina Cardenas, a baby girl who was born October 15, 2012, with a rare genetic deformity known as "ectopia cordis", in which part of the heart grows outside the chest. This condition affect for one person out of 8 million people in the world and nine patients out of 10 patients who affected this condition was dying in birth or after the first three days of birth.

But showing a miracle this baby girl survived after the unbelievable six-hour, open-heart surgery the day after Audrina's delivery conducted by multidisciplinary team of surgeons in Texas Children's Hospital,  where they reconstructed her chest cavity to make space for the one-third of her heart that was outside of her body.

Audrina wearing a pink chest shield made by doctors because the heart doesn’t protected by the breastplate and surrounding tissue and exposed to the outside world is very vulnerable to infections.
Cardenas's mother Ashley Cardenas told that she knew about her daughter's condition when she was 16 weeks pregnant.

"They gave me the option to terminate the pregnancy, continue with the pregnancy and do something called comfort care at the time of delivery, where instead of doing anything painful to her or do surgery they let you spend as much time with her until she passes, or opt for a high-risk surgery to help repair the heart. As soon as I made my decision to continue with the pregnancy, the physicians in Midland referred me to Texas Children's Hospital where a team of miracle workers provided the specialized treatment and care my baby and I both needed," she said. Further she articulated her gratitude for the team of doctors that worked determinedly to save her daughter's life.

World Strongest Kids Giuliano Stroe and Claudiu

People are interested in searching for weird news. You may have also searched the strongest man, woman, animal etc in the world. But have you ever searched for the world's strongest kids? Stroe brothers are known as the world’s strongest kids. Giuliano is seven years old and Claudiu is five.

They live in Galati, Romania and both started weight lifting at the age of two and are put through a two hour training schedule each morning with their father. The Stroe kid's father, Iulian, is determined to turn his boys into stars, known for their displays of strength and agility.

Giuliano, elder brother has even broken records. He's listed twice in the Guinness Book of World Record when he was 5 year olds. The first record was for hand walking. Also he holds a new world record for number of 90 degree vertical air push-ups and the human flag. His father says “He has been going to the gym with me ever since he was born. I always took him with me when I went training. But he's still only a child and if he gets tired or bored we go and play”. Giuliano is an Internet hit on sites like youtube, where his videos have over six million views by showing off his six pack and muscular arms.

Of course, not everyone is a fan of the boys' rigorous routine, and some question whether the training is harmful to their health. But their father claims the boys love working out saying, "You can't force a child to train if he doesn't like it."

This long period between their births has made Belinda Buttle old enough to be a Joseph Buttle’s grandmother.

Mother with most surviving children in a single birth

Nadya Denise Doud-Suleman Gutierrez is known as the mom with most surviving children in a single birth. Nadya is well known as the "octomom" as she gave the birth to octuplets in January 2009. According to Wikipedia her set of octuplets are only the second to be born alive in the US and they quickly surpassed the previous worldwide survival rate for a complete set of octuplets set by the Chukwu octuplets in 1998.

Suleman, an unemployed single mother, already had other six young children at home at the time, and along with the octuplets, they were all conceived via in-vitro fertilization, which has led to a lot of controversy.

A Baby Born with Six Legs in Karachchi

A baby with six legs born in Sukkur, Pakistan few days ago. According to the doctors the premature baby was taken to Karachchi for further medical treatments. The babies parents told that they are not in a position to take care of this child as they are really poor.

Imran Sheikh, the father of the six legged baby appealed to the government to help then for the treatments of the child. Then the Sindh Govener directed the officials to ensure the assistance and support for the treatments of the child.

Director of National Institute of Child Health (NICH), Dr. Jamal Raza stated that the para normal child having 6 legs is not a single baby instead there are two children in one body and one of them is pre mature. He further stated that the surgeons will examine the current status of the baby and will decide whether they will go for an operation or not.

World's Third Smallest Baby is ready for the New Year

Melinda Star Guido, who was recently born at Los Angeles County+USC Medical Center is now ready for this Christmas. She came into the world 16 weeks early on Aug. 30, and weighed a total of 270 grams. She was born premature and her original arrival was set to be on 15th December 2011.

Melinda is being closely monitored at the hospital's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and her doctor, Dr. Rangasamy Ramanathan, chief of the neonatology section at County USC Medical Center, said that "she is growing and thriving.'' Further he stated that he was worried if this baby was going to make it at first. Each day passed by, they saw that the improvements of little Melinda.

She was originally weighing less than a can of soda and roughly the same as two iPhones and now she has come up with 4.12 pounds.  She’s in her last stretch of her hospital stay as her parents unfortunately will not have her home in time for Christmas. But come 2012, Melinda will finally come home.

World's Largest Family Expecting their 20th Child

According to the records, the world's largest family is known to be "Duggar Family". This November Michelle Duggar and her husband Jim Bob announced that they are expecting their 20th child on next April. Despite her age, 45-year-old Michelle Duggar was happy and grateful to have a new addition to the family, saying "I was not thinking that God would give us another one."

Jim Bob & Michelle Duggar married July 21st, 1984. At that time, they chose to use the birth control pill. They thought, “We don’t want children right now. We can’t afford them. We want children in our timing, when we’re ready.” Four years later they decided to have their first child. Then, Michelle went back on the pill, but she conceived and had a miscarriage. At that point they talked with a Christian medical doctor and read the fine print in the contraceptives package. They found that while taking the pill you can get pregnant and then miscarry. They were grieved! They were Christians! They were pro-life! They realized that their selfish actions had taken the life of their child.

Smallest Baby Ever Born

Amillia Taylor is the world's youngest premature baby ever to survive. She was born two weeks before the legal abortion limit at just 9.5 inches long and less than 10 ounces with skin which tore like rice paper.

The baby was due on March 4, 2007, but, from the start, the pregnancy was fraught with problems and she had been born at just 21 weeks and six days.

According to Amillia's mother, "I was so shocked, because her skin was so translucent that she was see-through. I could see the veins in her arms, hands and legs, and I could actually watch her lungs as they moved.

'Amillia's hand was the size of my thumbnail, and her leg the same length as my little finger.

'I longed to reach out and touch her, just to stroke her and try to take away her pain. All I could do was sit and tell her that Mummy was here, that I loved her, and that everything would be alright."
